Job description
Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll be able to do:
- Design and maintain high-performance and governed Power BI/Fabric semantic models;
- Develop interactive reports and dashboards aligned with business needs;
- Integrate Power BI/Fabric with Databricks sources and optimize connectivity modes;
- Define and implement DAX measures, calculation rules, RLS/OLS, and refresh strategies;
- Develop and industrialize paginated reports with PDF export in batch;
- Build operational solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate;
- Implement Power BI governance, security, quality and operation standards;
- Train and support HR teams and end-users;
- Ensure knowledge transfer and contribute to the delivery of the DataMod program.
The profile we are looking for is as follows:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or related field;
- Have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in analytics and data visualization;
- Have five (5) years of experience in Lean/Agile environments (SAFe, Scrum);
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (depending on stack) and Databricks (Delta tables, SQL Warehouse);
- Demonstrate experience with Power Automate (robust flows, batching, error handling) and Power Apps (Canvas);
- Possess advanced Power BI expertise: DAX, Power Query (M), modeling, performance, RLS/OLS;
- Excellent collaboration, documentation and organizational skills;
- Have a mastery of paginated reports (RDL) and industrialized PDF exports;
- Have a solid command of SQL and good modeling practices (star schema, facts/dimensions);
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
